Jeff Foster Trucking, a Superior-based trucking company, is expanding to an industrial property near Duluth’s waterfront to grow its operations.
CEO Jeff Foster said his company recently closed a deal on 19 acres previously owned by Georgia-Pacific. Foster said they will use a 350,000-square-foot facility there to store goods for their customers.
“As our customers tend to grow and more opportunities come from new customers, we need more space,” he said. “This space lends itself very well to that sort of project.”

Foster said they plan to use half the facility to meet the needs of roughly 15 customers using their warehouse space in Superior. He said the rest will be offered to interested businesses or industries.
“To bring jobs to the area, that’s our goal,” he said.
Foster said it’s unknown how many jobs may be added. Jeff Foster Trucking has more than 300 employees and hauls goods across the United States and Canada.
