In Waukesha Monday, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush praised Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, his one-time competitor for the Republican presidential nomination. The two appeared together at a charter school run by a Latino organization.

Bush said he was honored to be there with Walker, whom he praised as someone, “Who has fought for school choice and school reform.”

He added, “It isn’t the easiest thing in the world to take on really powerful entrenched interests. this guy did it, not just in education but across the board and continues to do it each and every day.”

Bush said that during his time as governor of Florida, he raised school graduation rates.

Walker says he has not endorsed any of the remaining GOP contenders. An aide says Walker was also attending a Republican fundraiser featuring another Floridian presidential hopeful, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio.

Rubio and the other Republican contenders will take part in a televised debate Tuesday night in Milwaukee.
