Milwaukee’s Indian Community School is unique: it brings together students from many indigenous backgrounds, including Menominee, Ho-Chunk, Forest County Potawatomi, Chippewa and Oneida.
Students have a chance to learn Oneida, Ojibwe and Menominee languages in-class. We talked to sixth- and seventh-grade students about what it’s like to learn native languages and go to school with students from other tribes.
