An opponent of a plan to build a golf course in and next to Kohler-Andrae State Park is asking the state Natural Resources Board to visit the site of the proposed development.
Claudia Bricks, with Friends of the Black River Forest, criticized Herbert Kohler’s proposal to have the Kohler Corp. build another golf course on environmentally-sensitive sand dunes and wetlands along Lake Michigan.
“I’m not against Kohler,” said Bricks. “He’s done wonderful things for Sheboygan County. I’m not against golfing. I used to golf until I could throw it further than I could hit it. So, I’m not against those. And neither is the Friends of the Black River Forest. But we are against having a golf course built on this piece of land.”
