Wisconsin state parks will resume normal hours this weekend but visitors won’t have access to bathrooms until next month, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced Friday morning.
Most state parks have been operating with reduced hours and no bathroom access as the state grapples with the coronavirus pandemic. Those parks will resume normal hours starting Saturday. They will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
Visitors will have limited access to bathrooms beginning Wednesday, June 3.

All campsites will remain closed, however, through Sunday, June 7.
Rock Island State Park is closed for all use, however. Ferry service to the island is suspended due to high lake levels.
The following state natural areas will remain closed:
- Dells of The Wisconsin River State Natural
- Area Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area
- Parfrey’s Glen State Natural area
- Pewits Nest State Natural area
Capacity restrictions will be put in place as needed to control overcrowding and manage admissions, according to the release. The DNR suggests checking capacity limits online before visiting a park.
An annual park sticker or trail pass is required to enter state parks and trails. Those can be purchased online or over the phone daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1-888-305-0398.
