Join us for the launch of Uprooted: the Interactive Online Exhibit, which explores the history of the Mariel Exodus in Wisconsin, when Cuban refugees were detained at Fort McCoy in 1980.
This event is a reception honoring our La Crosse community members from Cuba who have lived here since the Mariel Exodus of 1980. All are welcome to attend. There will be light refreshments provided by the chefs at Mexcal, Cuban music, and storytelling.
This event will be in Main Hall outside of the Library’s hours. Please enter using the doors on the 9th St. side of the building (east facing).
