Dr. Jen Rae, University of Wisconsin–Madison’s artist-in-residence and co-founder of The Centre for Reworlding, in partnership with the Division of the Arts at UW–Madison, is convening an invitational Creative Resilience Lab on Thursday and Friday, April 3–4, 2025, at MYArts in Madison, Wisconsin. This two-day immersive and collaborative lab will build collective knowledge and wisdom on the climate emergency and disasters, involving Indigenous custodians, local artists, scientists, community organizations, emergency services, local government representatives, and philanthropists. We will further explore the intersections between the climate emergency, climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, social cohesion and creative practice in a localized context. We invite Expressions of Interest from people living and/or working in Madison and Dane County, Wisconsin who have practice, skills, knowledge and/or networks in the fields and/or intersections of emergency management, culture & the arts, climate change and related social + physical sciences, disaster risk reduction, funding bodies, policy, community partnerships, etc. to participate in the Creative Resilience Lab in April 2025.
