In an exciting collaboration, Coastal Players and the Bayshore Arts Center are thrilled to announce the upcoming production of the iconic rock musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, which will grace the stage of the Herbert L. Williams Theater from April 4th to April 13th. Directed by Chase Grabowski, this production highlights the remarkable talents of many local artists.

Jesus Christ Superstar is the groundbreaking musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice that has enchanted audiences for over 50 years. This timeless rock opera, set against the backdrop of pivotal historical events, is uniquely narrated through the perspective of Judas Iscariot. Inspired by the Gospels, the musical explores the final week of Jesus Christ’s life, presenting the intricate personal relationships and conflicts among Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, the disciples, and the Roman Empire—all conveyed through powerful songs.
