Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra to perform Handel’s Messiah

The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will perform Handel’s Messiah on Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Stefanie H. Weill Center in downtown Sheboygan. This timeless masterpiece will feature four renowned soloists plus the SSO Chorus, which is celebrating its 30th season this year. The audience will be provided with sheet music and invited to sing along on the beloved Hallelujah Chorus.

Soloists include: Soprano Kristin Knutson Berka, who performs regularly in Milwaukee and Chicago and has appeared with the New York Philharmonic; Alto Victoria Vargas, who performs with the Minnesota Opera; Tenor Stephen Paul Spears, associate professor and chair of choral studies at Lawrence University; and Bass Aaron Wardell, who performs with numerous Chicago-area opera groups, including Haymarket Opera, and throughout the Midwest.
