About Anna Nakonechna:
Anna Nakonechna grew up in the best of both worlds between Wisconsin and Lviv, Ukraine. Anna graduated from the Lviv National Music Academy this past July with a master’s in vocal performance. She works to spread cultural awareness in Milwaukee and beyond through her performances, including tours in the USA and Europe.

St. Michael’s UCC Children’s Saturday School Choir: Divotsvit

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church will host a free Christmas Caroling Concert in downtown Milwaukee this Sunday, December 29th.Local residents from across the region are all welcome to enjoy a Ukrainian tradition and family-friendly musical experience celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, through traditional Ukrainian and American Christmas carols.

The musical event will include the Ukrainian Saturday school children’s choir, called “Divotsvit”, the church’s main choir along with the operatic singing of Anna Nakonechna. Experience the fun of Christmas music and the beauty of Ukrainian traditional embroidered blouses called “vyshyvanky.”

The Ukrainian traditions continue after the musical event, where guests are invited to enjoy traditional Ukrainian Christmas doughnuts called “Pampushky,” along with cider and mulled wine.

MEDIA NOTE:
Anna would be happy to come into the studio on one of the days leading up to the concert, in order to give a short performance and talk about Ukrainian Christmas traditions, and her local community.
