The Power of Visual Storytelling

Jesse Roesler is an Emmy and James Beard award-winning filmmaker whose work has moved millions via PBS, The Travel Channel and The New York Times.

His debut feature film The Starfish Throwers was named “The Most Heartwarming Film of the Year” by The Huffington Post. Jesse’s most recent film Breaking Trail follows Emily Ford’s historic Ice Age Trail thru hike in winter and won dozens of film festival awards.

He currently resides in Chetek, WI with his wife and two sons where he is Principal and Creative Director at the creative content studio Credo Nonfiction.

These and other sessions in the lecture series are free and open to the public, thanks to financial support from the campus foundation. Neither seating reservations nor parking permits are required. Most talks are livestreamed at www.ricelaketv.com; they are also archived and can be watched later at www.uwec.ly/Thursdays.
