Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice (WFVJ), a nonprofit working to connect and empower faith communities announced it has partnered with another nonprofit, 100 Black Men of Madison, whose mission is to improve the quality of life within its communities and
enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans, to launch The Talk.
The Talk is a five-episode podcast event that brings together nine Jewish and African American teens from Madison area high schools to share their lives. Topics range from food, clothing, music and faith traditions to discussions around the education system, to comparing notes about racism and antisemitism and what it is like to grow up in a predominately white and Christian society.
The event begins at 3:15 p.m. Doors open at 2:45 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Space is limited.
