CSAs and Businesses
A number of employers in the Coulee Region are allowing Community Supported Agriculture or CSA farms to come to the business and sell fruits and vegetables to employees at the workplace. We take a tour of a CSA drop off site, and talk with a farmer and a health promotions coordinator from Mayo Health System about the importance of businesses that offer the service of fresh produce to employees at the worksite.

Former Baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn
Bowie Kuhn was commissioner of Major League Baseball from 1969-1984. He ran the league at a time when free agency changed the face of the game, and six new franchises ushered in a record expansion of professional baseball. He spoke at UW-La Crosse in 2003, four years before he died. We take a look back at baseball as it was at the time, and during his tenure as commissioner. It’s part of the 40th year of Newsmakers.
