Alliant Energy Center will continue COVID-19 testing

Testing for COVID-19 will continue at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. Last week, Public Health Madison & Dane County said the clinics would close Sunday, April 3.

The public health department said Monday the clinics will continue through a new designated space for Accelerated Clinical Labs.

Cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin have decreased significantly since spiking in January. On Thursday — the latest day with data available — there were 367 new cases of the disease reported in Wisconsin, according to the state Department of Health Services.

While many COVID-19 restrictions and precautions are dwindling, a variant known as BA.2, which is a subvariant of omicron, has been spreading.
