Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says he’s pleased with Thursday’s state Supreme Court ruling ending the investigation into whether his campaign illegally coordinated with conservative groups.
Speaking to reporters during a campaign stop in New Hampshire, Walker said it would let him move forward.
“The bottom line is we said all along that the courts would ultimately rule on the side of the original Circuit Court judge, and we’re confident, that is, folks in Wisconsin will tell you I’ve gone through these battles so many times, I don’t get too up or too down,” said Walker. “I’m pretty even keeled in all this. And so we’re pleased. It’s just one more thing that allows us to take a step moving forward.”

In a 4-2 ruling Thursday, the court’s conservative justices ruled the Wisconsin law under which prosecutors brought their investigation was vague and unconstitutional.
Critics say the ruling opens the floodgates for coordination between candidates and groups that can raise unlimited amounts and keep their donors secret.
