Eminem has posted the tracklist for his forthcoming album, “The Marshall Mathers LP 2,” according to Consequence of Sound. Frequent collaborator Dr. Dre and hip-hop’s latest production svengali, Rick Rubin apparently tag teamed on the record. The article also includes a YouTube clip of the disc’s first single. U2 is recording a new album, according to comments bassist Adam Clayton made on an Irish radio show this week, Rolling Stone.com reported. Clayton said the so-far untitled disc would be released next year and currently contains 12 songs. (Read the report)
Rolling Stone.com also reported that a judge has refused to OK an injunction filed by Black Flag founder Greg Ginn against his former bandmates. The hardcore legends, who broke up in 1986, splintered into two competing camps earlier this year, with one group touring under the Black Flag name (and led by Ginn) and the other playing as the Flag (and featuring former singer/Circle Jerks leader Keith Morris, bassist Chuck Dukowski, and drummer Bill Stevenson). Ginn sought to stop the other group from using the band’s name and iconic logo. However, the judge declined. (Read the report)
