State legislators who pushed for the policy say they’re keeping a watchful eye on the UW-systems new procedure for doing criminal background checks on anyone applying to work on a state campus. But a UW-Oshkosh professor who spent ten years in prison on drug dealing charges says the policy is mean spirited and could result in anti-discrimination lawsuits against the university.Gil Halsted reports…
