Periodically, WPR and St. Norbert College do a poll of Wisconsin residents to gauge their attitudes on particular subjects. Below are a selection of questions and responses from the fall 2014 survey, which largely focused on the 2014 election.
The survey polled 603 voters in the state over landline and mobile telephone connections between Sunday and Tuesday. The margin of error was plus or minus 4 percentage points.

If the gubernatorial election was today, who would you vote for?

These numbers, which reflects the responses of respondents who identified as “likely voters,” are a stark contrast to Wisconsin Survey results from last April, which found Walker leading 55 to 40 percent. Voters have since become more familiar with Burke and her campaign platform.

Respondents felt more optimistic in the spring Wisconsin Survey, when 57 percent of voters said that the state was headed in the right direction.

These numbers, which again reflect responses from self-identified likely voters, align with results from recent Marquette University Law School polls that have also indicated a tight race between Happ and Schimel.
