Local retailers encourage consumers to spend dollars in their own communities

The National Retail Federation reports the average American consumer will spend about $685 this holiday season.That’s down a bit from last year.And as the recession grinds on local retailers, they’re hoping shoppers spend some of what money they do have in their own communities.Patty Murray reports…
