Milwaukee police say Milwaukee Alderman Joe Dudzik died Thursday night from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash around 11:30 p.m.

Dudzik was transported to a local hospital, where he died.

Dudzik was elected to the Milwaukee Common Council in 2002 and represented the 11th District. He worked for the city’s public works department for more than 20 years.
