Some Wisconsin dairy farmers are producing more than milk these days.With help from Danish technology, the farmers are turning cow manure into electricity.And they’re addressing one of the biggest challenges large cow operations face – manure management.For those who face manure runoff problems and complaints of odor, an alternative that produces income is exciting.Backers of a new manure digester in Wisconsin now hope to expand into the much larger energy markets of Texas and California…where both cows and manure are plentiful.Mary Jo Wagner has this report on how this manure-to-energy project is working in western Wisconsin….
