The grey wolf in Wisconsin is likely to be reclassified soon from an endangered species to a threatened one.Several studies indicatethe wolf population is growing enough to allow the change, which would make it easier forgovernments to euthanize problem wolves. One of the research efforts is an annualhowling survey conducted by the D-N-R.The agency’s wolf expert goesinto forests and tries to get the animalsto answer his wolf-like call.
