The WPR news department is committed to empowering people to participate in the 2024 elections by providing accessible, timely and factual information about how to vote, the candidates running for office and the issues shaping campaigns and voting decisions.

Here’s how we’ll do it:

  • We will interview candidates, party officials and community members.
  • We will attend political and community events and research the facts tied to the issues facing Wisconsin and the country.
  • We will examine candidates’ records and past actions to give voters a sense of how they might operate in office.
  • We will connect with communities to better understand what information they need about how to vote and how to decide who to vote for.
  • Our work will clearly and directly state when candidates or others are spreading misleading or incorrect information.
  • We will provide  coverage that is understandable, engaging and broadly accessible.
