Cordelia E. Barrera, Associate Professor of English at Texas Tech University and Co-Director of the Literature of Social Justice and the Environment initiative, completed her PhD at The University of Texas, San Antonio. She specializes in Latinx literatures, the American Southwest and multiethnic speculative fiction. Her publications have appeared in The Quarterly Review of Film and Video, Western American Literature, and Chicana/Latina Studies: The Journal of MALCS, as well as various critical anthologies. Her work concentrates on the literature of social justice and the environment. Her current book project explores the links between utopian forms of social dreaming and borderlands literatures.
