Currently, Jenny Brownson is a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction at UWM. She is a lecturer in the Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence (MC-EA, grades 1-8 certification). Jenny has served as a 4th and 5th grade teacher and theatre specialist at Elm Creative Arts School in the Milwaukee Public Schools. She has served as the Interim Placement Specialist in the Office of Clinical Experiences, and was a Student Teacher Supervisor for the MC-EA program at UWM.
Her professional and research interests include culturally relevant teaching, teachers’ integration of the creative arts, and cooperating teachers’ and teacher candidates’ co-planning for the classroom.
