Jennifer Carlson, sociologist at the University of Toronto and author of “Citizen-Protectors: The Everyday Politics of Guns in an Age of Decline.”
Jennifer is a known authority on guns, and she has written on the topic for the Los Angeles Times, Christian Science Monitor, San Francisco Chronicle, and others. Citizen-Protectors, out in May 2015, is the first book to examine the carrying of guns as an everyday social practice, and it is geared toward asking different kinds of questions about the gun debate in America – about race, socioeconomic decline, and policing.
