Julie Halpert is a freelance journalist who covers a wide variety of topics including parenting, mental health, and the environment. Her work has appeared in numerous large media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic. She is also the founder of “Garrett’s Space,” an Ann Arbor-based initiative that’s “dedicated to addressing gaps in treatment for young adults experiencing distress due to mental health challenges.”
