Laura Dunn is a campus sexual assault survivor and activist, and the Founder and Executive Director of SurvJustice, a non-profit that works to decrease the prevalence of sexual violence by assisting survivors, empowering activists, and supporting institutions. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Legal Studies and Psychology, with a certificate in Criminal Justice. Dunn then entered Teach for America – New Orleans, where she taught middle school math post-Katrina. During that time she also served as the Communications Director for the national nonprofit PAVE and founded its Survivor Justice Campaign. Dunn then attended the University of Maryland Carey School of Law where she received her J.D. in 2014 with a focus on victim’s rights law.
