Peter Mills teaches in the School of Cultural Studies at Leeds Beckett University in the UK. He has published books on Van Morrison, Samuel Beckett and The Monkees, the last of which was praised by Bob Rafelson and Jack Nicholson. He has written and contributed to BBC radio and TV documentaries on musical matters and was the singer and lyricist of the band Innocents Abroad who made two albums, Quaker City and Eleven; the band recently reconvened to record a new album Late Spring, which will be released in September 2022.
