Susan Rose is a professor Emerita at the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at UW-Milwaukee. She was on faculty from 1992-2021. Her research interests include intervention with incarcerated women, specifically women in jails with health, mental health, and substance use problems. She also studies the needs of mothers and pregnant women in jail as they transition back into the community. While at UW-Milwaukee she co-directed the Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Program that worked with students interested in public child welfare practice.
