U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Milwaukee, was arrested on Thursday morning in Milwaukee for her role in a protest calling for a minimum wage increase.
Twenty-five other people were also arrested at the Milwaukee protest, which was part of a national fast food workers’ strike for higher wages.
The organization Wisconsin Jobs Now tweeted out a photo of her arrest. A member of Moore’s staff soon after tweeted from the congresswoman’s personal account to verify that she had been arrested:

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Moore was released by 3 p.m. after having been issued a fine of $691 for disorderly conduct.
