Ryan Makes Three Wisconsin Campaign Stops

Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan made three campaign stops in Wisconsin yesterday, just as a new poll was released that appears to show another shift in momentum.

Paul Ryan made no mention of the latest Marquette University Law School poll that has him and Mitt Romney in Wisconsin down by eight points. At his last rally of the day in his home congressional district, Ryan acknowledged the many familiar faces in the crowd, and predicted victory.

Ryan’s is on the ballot twice here, once as Romney’s running mate and again as a congressional candidate seeking re-election. Ryan made no reference to his congressional race against Democrat Rob Zerban, who at his own rallies is making the most of Ryan’s absence from the congressional campaign trail.

Ryan’s stop in Racine was his first official campaign appearance in the most populous part of the district since being named Romney’s running mate last summer.
