Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has some suggestions for things Barack Obama should say in next week’s State of the Union Address — although, as he noted at his weekly news conference Thursday morning, he doubts the president will say them.
“‘I take it all back — that health care was wrong, we shouldn’t have done Dodd-Frank, I want to actually lower tax rates, clear out crony capitalism and restore the Constitution to its rightful place in American life.’ That’s what I would encourage him to say,” said Ryan.
Meanwhile, Obama has invited Ryan to a meeting, but the Janesville Republican said that won’t take place before Tuesday’s speech.

Ryan also said he plans to spend the weekend in Janesville, and watch Sunday’s Green Bay Packers game in his basement.
