Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz made a final pitch to Wisconsin voters on Monday night in the conservative stronghold of Waukesha County.
“A victory here tomorrow will resonate across this country, will change the outcome in states to come all across this country,” Cruz said of Tuesday’s primary.
The Texas senator was joined on stage by several guests, including conservative radio host Charlie Skyes, former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and Gov. Scott Walker.

Cruz riled up the very pro-Walker crowd by calling the governor a “rock star.” Then he referenced tough guy pop culture icon Chuck Norris.
“A lot of kids, when they go to bed at night, they wear Superman pajamas,” Cruz said. “Well, Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas — and Chuck Norris wears Scott Walker pajamas!”
Cruz also played to the crowd’s dislike of Donald Trump. He said choosing Trump as the GOP’s presidential nominee would essentially be “gift-wrapping” the fall’s general election for Hillary Clinton.
“Nominating Donald Trump elects Hillary Clinton,” Cruz said. “Hillary wins by double digits, it is tying a giant present and giving it to the Democrats.”
