Walker To White House: Cancel Chinese President's State Visit

Gov. Scott Walker is criticizing an upcoming White House visit from Chinese President Xi Jinping.

In a statement released by Walker’s campaign Monday, he accused the Chinese government of “increasing attempts to undermine U.S. interests,” and called for President Barack Obama to cancel the official state visit rather than “honoring” the Chinese leader.

Walker pointed to cyberattacks, increased militarization in the South China Sea, and “continued state interference with its economy,” as areas of concern and accused the president of not showing enough “backbone” when it comes to U.S-China relations.
