Who Should Control Milwaukee's Mental Health Care?
A bill that would put mental health care in Milwaukee County under the control of a board of healthcare professionals passed the Senate unanimously Tuesday. It will go to the Assembly early next week where it is expected to pass. Mental health care in Milwaukee is currently controlled by the county board, which has been criticised for ignoring concerns over the quality of care. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter whose reporting sparked the legislation joins Central Time, along with co-authors of the bill Rep. Joe Sanfelippo and Sen. Leah Vukmir.
