After an investigation showed that 60 VA nursing homes were rated a one out of five star rating last year, the House Veterans Affairs Committee has launched an investigation. For Travelers With Disabilities, Support From Technology And Airport Staff Helps
When we think about going to the airport, we often think about time. Arriving on time, getting through transfers on time, getting through security on time and generally a lot of cramped spaces and rushing. For those with disabilities, whether physical or mental, needing to travel by forms of public transport or by plane often require extra planning, extra time and can come with some worry. We talk to a New York Times reporter about some of the ways technology has helped individuals with disabilities to make travel more accommodating, and some ways in which accessibility is lagging.

The House Veterans Affairs Committee is investigating conditions at VA nursing homes, after a USA TODAY-Boston Globe investigation revealed that the agency rates nearly half its nursing homes with its lowest possible rating.
