Despite High Concentration Of Middle Class, Challenges For Wisconsin Middle-Income Earners Grow
A study from the Pew Research Center found that three of Wisconsin’s metro areas — Wausau, Janesville-Beloit, and Sheboygan all have some of the highest concentrations of middle-income earners in the country. Yet despite those high numbers, Wisconsin’s middle class has had a difficult decade and a half, with real median income falling. We talk to an expert about the study and what the future of Wisconsin’s middle class looks like.
