The 20th Century saw landmark legislation like the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Fair Housing Act of 1968. But the 20th Century couldn’t anticipate some of the problems that would arise with the sharing economy, which only gained popularity in the last decade. Our guest tells us how laws may not yet be adjusted to the discrimination that arises with the sharing economy, especially with Airbnb, where hosts might judge the race of a person based on their name or profile picture.
