Sensemaking: The Power Of The Humanities In The Age Of The Algorithm
President Donald Trump’s newly-released federal budget proposal includes the elimination of 19 government agencies. One of those agencies is the National Endowment for the Arts, or NEA. The agency is dedicated to supporting “excellence in the arts,” as well as supporting arts education and efforts to bring the arts to all Americans. Our guest explains why he says cuts like this to federal funding for the arts and humanities would be a huge blow to not just the arts community, but to the U.S. economy and our ability to compete in the global marketplace.
