Dr. Sloper, Catherine and Lavinia arrive at the party given by the Almonds to discover the Morris is in attendance. Dr. Sloper confronts Morris about his profession (or lack thereof). Morris asks Catherine to meet with him unchaperoned. The two prepare to confront her father.
