Dr. Sloper confront Aunt Lavinia about her meddling. Aunt Lavinia responds by telling Catherine to “draw out” her grieving over her father’s decision. Catherine agrees to meet with Morris “one last time” to tell him of her plans to wait for him until her father comes around.
