Astronomer and Astrobiologist Dr. Margaret “Maggie” Turnbull returns to Route 51 to talk about the search for extraterrestrial life, the commercialization of space, the importance of scientific research and education and her pioneering work with NASA’s New Worlds Observer mission, an effort to find Earthlike planets around nearby stars.
Turnbull, is from Antigo, and will be joined by the guys who run planetariums in central Wisconsin: UWSP’s Dr. Randy Olson and Wausau West’s Chris Janssen.
