As part of our monthly segment on the fortieth anniversary of the Endangered Species Act, Larry Meiller learns about the status of osprey in Wisconsin.
– Patricia Manthey, avian ecologist,Bureau of Endangered Resources, WIDepartment of Natural Resources.Has worked with peregrine falcon restoration and with population monitoring of peregrines, bald eagles, osprey, and trumpeter swans.
– Ron Eckstein, wildlife biologist volunteer, retired in December 2010 after 36 years as DNR Wildlife Biologist at Rhinelander working on forest ecology, wild rice, eagles, and ospreys
