From WPR’s performance studio, Norman Gilliland interviews pianist David Yoshiaki Ko who plays pieces by Franz Liszt, Alberto Ginastera and Beethoven. Ko recently performed at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music just prior to the 2012 PianoArts Competition. He’s the winner of the 2002 Russian Music Competition and the 2010 PianoArts North American Piano Competition. The 20 year old attends The Juilliard School in new York and Columbia University where he’s studying Neuroscience.
