Norman interviews cellist Lynn Harrell who played with the Madison Symphony Orchestra Friday through Sunday, November 14-16, 2011.
The performance included Rossini’s Overture toThe Barber of Seville, Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D minor and the Sibelius Symphony No. 2. Harrell was born in New York and but began his musical studies in Dallas before attending Juilliard and the Curtis Institute of Music. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the first Avery Fisher Award.
