Norman talks to composer Walter Mays whose work String Quartet No.2 will have its world-premier on Saturday, October 22 in Mills Concert Hall on the UW-Madison campus as part of the Pro Arte’s 100th Birthday celebration.
In 1998, his Quartet in G Minor, also commissioned by the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the Pro Arte Quartet, was nominated for a Pulitzer prize. He is currently “Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music” at Wichita State University.
