Madison’s new ensemble, the Willy Street Chamber Players, performed today on the Midday. The WSCP are composed of violinists Eleanor Bartsch, Beth Larson, Rachel Hauser, and Paran Amirinazari, and cellists Mark Bridges and Lindsey Crabb, and pianist Jason Kurtz. Members are experienced performers in their own right, having graduted from the graduate school of the UW School of Music, and as members of the Madison Symphony Orchestra, The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Madison Bach Musicians, and LFQ Quartet.
Together, the Willy Street Chamber Players promise weekly concerts on Fridays at 6pm, at their residence at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1021 Spaight Street. Their upcoming concert on Friday, July 24 at 6pm will feature music written by living composers; many of whom have ties to the Midwest. Following that, their inaugural season will conclude with a concert on Friday, July 31 at 6pm, featuring Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no. 3 and Mendelssohn’s Octet in E flat major.
