Many of us have learned about monumental events such as the Holocaust, Pearl Harbor, the Vietnam War and more. However, our guest argues that when the material is filled with facts, dates, and places, it’s hard to humanize these subjects and learn how each of us are connected to its historical significance. Our guest uses her own personal experience as a daughter of two Holocaust survivors and echoes of descendants of African American slaves and others to explore the inter-generational inheritance of trauma.
