Back to School
Some students in the La Crosse School District started school last month. Many Hamilton Elementary students became the first in La Crosse to participate in year-round school. We talk with La Crosse School Superintendent Randy Nelson about why year-round school was needed and is going so far. We’ll talk to him about a number of education topics including the start of a statewide private school voucher program. We’ll also get the private school perspective on that program from La Crosse Aquinas Catholic School President Kurt Nelson.

The La Crosse Compassion Project
More than 6,000 La Crosse school students are participating in a unique district-wide arts and writing experience this year. They will be using a blank canvass square to demonstrate how they view compassion, one of the school district’s core principles. Learn more about the La Crosse Compassion Project.
